The small Byzantine church of Ai Stratigos is built deep in a ravine after Paradeisi on the road to Kato Kastania.
It is the best preserved Byzantine church of those which abandoned at the area of Paradeisi and Faraklo. Below this church are two more churches, one rehabilitated lately. The roof of the temple has fallen by half, but inside some great murals are preserved.
A road was drilled in order to proceed the rehabilitation and maintenance of this important Byzantine church and the project finished in the end of 2015.
