Stroggili lake is located right next to the beach of Pounta and the archaic submerged city of Pavlopetri and is a major wetland.

Around the lake, which essentially is a small lagoon, find shelter rare species of migratory hence the lake is included in the network NATURA. Also from the sea side are scattered trees belonging to rare specie of cedrus. The access to lake is done either via the beach of Maggano, or via the beach of Pounta.
