Palaiokastro

Palaiokastro

Palaiokastro is located east of Neapolis and south of Lachi. A small peninsula in the west forms a natural harbor where today there is a pier and fishing lodge. At the edge of the peninsula stands the beautiful church of Agia Paraskevi, worth a visit, visible from the sea, Neapolis and Lachi.

Over the peninsula is located archaeological Byzantine era. In the region, moreover, is likely that the city Itiswas built by Aeneas in 1100BC. East of the peninsula, until Miniones there are many small beaches such as La, Marathias, Foniavlako andAmmitsas which is right next to Palaiokastro and attracts the most swimmers in summer.

Eastern from there and on the road to Miniones there are the beautiful church camps for children with special abilities.
