Pantanassa is a small village of Vatika. Further up from the sea,built along the road Neapolis – Sparta offers generously view to the Lakonikos bay,and to the lower elevations up to Elika, with the vineyards and olives.

Above the village, on the way to Kryovrysi, is the unique Byzantine church of Agios Athanasios of 12th century a monument of significant cultural heritage.
